Action Group for Health-Cure Support Gives free Medical Care to Ndokwa People.

A non-governmental organization known as the Action Group for Health-Cure support has commenced a free medical program to the people of Ndokwa Land. The program which was kicked off on Saturday 9 august, 2014 started at Utagba Uno, in Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State.SUNP0052
Speaking to reporters, the head of the team Dr Chukwuneku Ojie said that the program is a nationwide project, and the people of Utagba Uno are just one of the benefiting communities in the country. According to him, the program will run round the communities in Ndokwa in selected communities as the team will move from community to community.
Speaking further, he said that the organization is purely non-governmental, and decided to help to ameliorate the health needs of Nigerians, especially in the area of rural health services.SUNP0057
At the venue, general medical examination and treatment was offered to the people who were so delighted as they came out in large numbers to benefit from the free services which included free eye examination, treatment and issuance of new optical glass. General medical services and prescription and administering of drugs for other ailments.
Also speaking, Dr Okoh Ikechukwu a member of the Action Group for Health-Cure Support says one of the aim of the program is to see how the support group can contribute their quota to the health need of the rural areas and people in the country.SUNP0062
Some of the beneficiaries of the program who spoke to our reporter thanked the group for bringing succor to the community. That initially they taught it was false, but the program is real. They therefore called on other organizations and people of Ndokwa to imitate the efforts of the medical team.SUNP0065
The program was highly attended by both the old and the young’s in the community.
