Okowa Assures Deltans on SMART Agenda

Delta State Governor, Senator, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has assured Deltans that his administration would deliver on its SMART agenda of prosperity for all Deltans despite the present economic predicament of the nation.
The governor made the call on Sunday, 28 June, 2015 during a thanksgiving service held in honour of the Deputy Governor, Barr Kingsley Otuaro at Believers Love World popularly called Christ Embassy, Warri
Governor Okowa said in spite of the drop in oil prices and the state debt profile, his administration was poised to deliver on all its electioneering promises made to Deltans.
He sued for the input of all public officials and the general public in bringing the needed transformation to the state
While calling on youths, traditional rulers and community leaders to rededicate themselves to God for a total turn around in their lives and the society, Senator Okowa urged those who engage in activities that tend to hinder development in their areas to desist, emphasizing that change of attitude would be to the benefit of all Deltans.
The governor said he was glad to have Barr Otuaro as his Deputy, pledging their willingness to do the right things at all times, and also appealed to Deltans to correct them when the need arises
The Deputy Governor Barr Kingsley Otuaro in company of his wife, Engr Ebierin Otuaro, said his emergence as deputy governor was an act of God and promised to remain a faithful child of God in all his actions.
He said the present economic predicament cannot hamper the prosperity for all Deltans agenda of the present administration.
Barr Otuaro thanked Deltans for believing in him and Senator Okowa, and prayed God to crown all their development plans with resounding success.
In a sermon, the Zonal Pastor, Christ Embassy, Warri Zone, Pastor Soji Dara, noted that appreciation through thanksgiving was a way to attract more blessings and promotions from God.
Highpoint of the service was a thanksgiving session and special prayers for the family of the deputy governor and the state government.
