The Deputy Speaker of the 5th Ukwuani Legislative Assembly, Hon. Ossaiku Harrison has reassured the people of his constituency Umutu of effective and more proactive representation at all times.
He gave this assurance at the First Baptist Church, Umutu during the thanksgiving service to mark his one year in office. The Deputy Speaker thanked God for the peaceful and enabling atmosphere granted him to serve his people.
As part of activities to mark the celebration, Hon Ossaiku distributed notebooks to all the primary schools in Umutu and promised to unfold his empowerment plans structured towards human development in such areas as; welding and fabrication, tailoring, hairdressing and furniture making.
According to him, the following families in the ward; the PDP family, First Baptist Church, Umutu, Umu-Abbi family, Umu-Oginye family and Umu-Ejeh family will be beneficiaries.
In his sermon at the thanksgiving service, Pastor Aniomi George called on the councillor to see his position as a divine call to serve God and humanity; he further advised him to always put God first in all his decision making and taking as well as in his daily activities in order to succeed.
Earlier in the month, Hon. Ossaiku had visited the GBI Orphanage Home, Ebedei were he celebrated his birthday with the orphanage inmates.
