Delta Environmental Sanitation Exercise
ASABA/Nigeria: It hereby announced for the information of the general public particularly Deltans, that the monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise for the June, 2018 will hold in Delta State on Saturday June 30, 2018, between the hours of 7am and 10am.
During the period of the exercise, there will be restrictions on the movement of persons and vehicles, except those engaged in official duties and inter-state journeys.
The state Commissioner for Environment, Barr. John Nani will lead officials of the Ministry and other relevant agencies to monitor the exercise across the state, while officials of the state Waste Management Board and Local Government Councils are to evacuate the resultant refuse to the appropriate dump sites.
Persons found loitering during the exercise, will be arrested and brought before a Sanitation Mobile Court, for appropriate sanction.
Residents of the state are by this announcement advised to use the period of the exercise to keep their surroundings clean.
Chairmen of local government councils, are advised to ensure that residents in their locality observe the exercise.
