Students Advised To Take Study Seriously

OGWASHI-UKU/Nigeria: Mass Communications students of Delta State Polytechnics, Ogwashi-Uku have been advised to take their programme seriously to enable them achieve their academic dreams in the institution.

The Head of the Department of Mass Communication, Dr Mrs Joy Erere Anho, gave the advice in a chat with newsmen in her office at Ogwashi-Uku.

Dr Anho charged the students to imbibe the culture of hard work, saying hard work according would not kill but rather make one to be great.

The Head of Department said that the only way students would justify the efforts of their parents was when they take their studies seriously.

Dr Anho described as unfortunate the idea where some students roam the streets abandoning their studies, calling on such students to turn a new leaf.

While reminding students that mass communication was not for lazy people, she said that it required a sound mind to be a journalist.

She lauded the leadership quality of the rector of the institution, Professor Mrs Stella Chinye Chiemeke, describing her as a dynamic academician that had all it takes to move the institution to greater heights.
