Delta Community Appeals to Gov Okowa for Secondary School

WARRI/Nigeria: Indigenes as well as residents of Otovwodo (Agbassa) Community in Warri South Local Government Area have appeal to the Delta State government to establish a Secondary School in Agbassa, Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.

An indigene of Otovwodo (Agbassa) Community, Comrade Lucky Ofoni Itu made the appeal when he spoke with our correspondents on the issue at Ukpokiti Street, Warri.

He explained that Otovwodo (Agbassa) Community lack a public secondary school that would admit scores of pupils who graduated from various primary schools in the area,

He stated that community is the traditional headquarters of the biggest and most populous kingdom in Warri South Local Government Area, saying that, “We shall be grateful if Governor Okowa can established Agbassa Secondary School name after Agbassa Community.”

Comrade Itu while assuring Governor Okowa of the support of the people of the area in 2019 said that the uncompleted structures and vast unused lands behind Agbassa Primary School could be used for the establishment of a secondary school.”

According to Comrade Ofoni Itu, “Governor Okowa will write his name in gold in the annals of Otovwodo (Agbassa) Community, Warri if the secondary school is established in the same premises with Agbassa Primary School.”

He had earlier hailed Governor Okowa for the on-going renovation of Agbassa Primary School, Warri project.
