Chief Sunny Onuesoke and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, PDP Presidential Candidate

WARRI/Nigeria: In a joyous mood, the victory of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as the flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the presidential Primary held in Port Harcourt, had excited Chief Sunny Onuesoke, as he had in 2016, predicted that the former vice president will return to the party, and be the party candidate for the 2019 presidential election.

In a reaction to the outcome of the primary result, the PDP chieftain said he was not surprised of the move of former vice president to dump the All Progressive Congress, APC, to return to the party, as the activities, and actions of members had never aligned with his vision for Nigeria.

“I had predicted Alhaji Atiku’s movement back to PDP, which had happened, and I also made a prophetic statement that he will be the next Nigerian president in 2019, on the platform of the PDP. My two predictions had happened, and I know come 2019, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, will be elected the president of the federal republic of Nigeria.”

“Atiku Abubakar is a man who love Nigeria, and had through his investments empowered many Nigerians through employment. He knows how to return the economy to its productive state. The party, PDP, had made the right choice through a credible selection process.”

“I congratulate him for the victory, and I congratulate the party for a free and fair process. I congratulate the rest, who contested, now that the selection had been done, it’s time to start the work of reclaiming and redeeming Nigeria.” He said.

The former vice president had the highest number of votes, of 1, 532, followed by the Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwa who scored 693, and Senator Bukola Saraki, 317, in a primary which involved 12 heavy weights of the party.
