ASABA/Nigeria: Various members and groups in Delta claiming supports for the second term agenda of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa had been asked to obtain their Permanent voters Cards, (PVC), so that the goal of the second term project will be achieved.
Making this advice over the weekend, during the meeting of the Okowa Fans Club, (OFC) held at Chadef Hotel Asaba, an aide to the state governor, Mrs Ufuoma stated that its only when every support group have their cards, and cast their votes for the governor, that they can be sure of victory.
“I call on members of this club to work and obtain their PVC, and encourage their friends and family members to equally do so, with your voting instrument with you, the victory for 2019, is half achieved. “She stated.
Also speaking at the meeting, another aide to the governor, Mr Sam Fejioku, said that the governor had not deviated from his SMART Agenda Policy, as he according to him, “Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, still maintain the SMART Agenda”.
He stated that with the policy, the governor who promised Deltans “Prosperity for All”, had kept the faith, as more than 50,000 persons had benefited from that policy to elevate their statues through wealth creation, and sympathy with workers in the state, including the local government councils.
“The governor has properly initiated wealth creation among 50,000 persons and has also been able to release 5billion naira to the 25 local government areas to clear the outstanding arrears of all the LGA workers. This is the governor we have, who have sympathy for Deltans.”
On his part, the chairman of the group, Dr. Patrick Enuneku, stated that OFC will continue to support the policies of the governor, and also render supports to members beyond 2019, especially for those that will want to contest for any elective positions in 2023.
He stated that the group apart from projecting the second term agenda of Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa will also build a good and lasting relationship with the governor, and members of the club.
