IDUMUJE-UGOKO: Idumuje-Ugboko in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State became the epicentre of political activity at the weekend as Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North in the National Assembly, hosted thousands of All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders for a high-level meeting aimed at consolidating efforts toward a better Nigeria and a progressive Delta.

The meeting, held at the iconic Mount Ned Resort, witnessed robust deliberations that culminated in a vote of confidence in President Bola Tinubu, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, and Senator Nwoko. The motion was moved by Hon. Nicholas Ossai, former member representing Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, and seconded by APC stalwart Chief Felix Ndukwe from Oshimili North, with Delta APC Chairman Chief Omeni Sobotie in attendance.

Stakeholders drawn from the nine local government areas of Delta North commended Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E Agenda, and Nwoko’s legislative strides, noting their positive impact on the lives of Nigerians. Addressing the massive crowd of party leaders, women, and youths, Senator Nwoko reaffirmed that Tinubu’s administration means well for the nation and urged continuous support from all citizens.

Nwoko, who recently marked two years in office, said his mission remains the advancement of the welfare of the people irrespective of party affiliation, ethnic background, or social status. He reiterated his commitment to the creation of Anioma State, expressing optimism that the longstanding quest would soon become a reality.

“There are high prospects of development and genuine progress under the present administration. Nigeria is on the path of economic and social prosperity in spite of our challenges. We must all continue to support the government through cooperation and collaboration,” Nwoko said.

“Anioma State is possible. The majority of people in Delta North today want Anioma. Most states across Nigeria are poised to back Anioma. We have the goodwill of the president, the support of the Senate and the House of Representatives. The Senate public hearing on the bill for the creation of Anioma will hold from July 4th to 5th in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. Let me use this opportunity to encourage all to attend. I stand for history and equity. This is not agitation for personal glory; it is a compelling movement for our common good.”
