Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa

The General Coordinator for Delta Vanguard for Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Deacon Mike Diden who is the Commissioner representing the Warri Nationality on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) has reminded all the members of the group that they are in the right course in their quest at ensuring Dr. Okowa becomes the next Governor of the State.

Deacon Diden who delivered his address while addressing members of Delta Vanguard for Dr. Okowa, cut across the three senatorial district in Sapele, explained that they must put all their hands on the plough to make sure they actualize their goals at the end, knowing fully well there is a green light at the end of the tunnel considering the caliber of the candidate theyareworkingwith.

He reminded the people that their duty is almost complete, yet they must never rest on their oars, not until the job is completed since they have just 25 percent job to conclude their assignment, while the general public will assist them in completing another 25 percent, stressing that they can never gather each time without them knowing themselves, as the purpose of politics is for the people to know themselves, referring to the burial ceremony of the late mother of Bar Jaro Egbo where politicians across Delta State show cased what they know how to do best as they turned the ceremony to a carnival of a sort.

He said even if people defined politics as a dirty game, he sees it as a gold mine, considering the landmark achievements of the Delta State Government Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan who has transformed the state during the lifespan of his administration, adding that the activities they have engaged in is the business for themselves and their children which will bettertheir entire  lifetime.

Deacon Diden reiterated that the purpose of the gathering is for them to know themselves as co-labourers in the vineyard of Dr. Okowa’s Gubernatorial Ambition, promising that he will visit each local government area by visiting the coordinators and discussing with them to know their problems, pointing out that some are good managers of people while some are not, hence his visit to the local government areas is expedient for him to know more about their challenges as he commended the people for honouring the invitation to attend the meeting, appealing that in case they erred in their leadership activities, the people should forgive them since they do not have the intentions to slight anyone, rather their intention is for them to achieve their goals so that they can land safely at their destination.

On his part, Chief Peter Douglas Okolotu (a.k.a. DIOS), Delta North Coordinator, said their journey is the quest for the goldmine which they must collectively dig out by God’s grace, with one mind from across the ten federal constituency in Delta State, explaining that shortly the meetings will be moved from Sapele to other constituencies where other local government coordinators will prepare their local government area list and submit to the parentbodybeforethe15th  ofMarch,2014.

Chief Pius Ovwidje, the state coordinator for Delta Central said they will be meeting separately on a different day, and they will be visiting jointly to the constituencies at a date that will be made known to them, advising the people to submit the list of their coordinators from the ward through the local government area levels before the 15th of Marchtoenablethemhaveaneffectivearrangement.

Hon. Asupa Furteta, Coordinator Delta South said in the Delta South, they have five federal constituency, Isoko, Burutu, Bomadi, Patani and Warri Federal Constituency, adding that before the 15th of March, the various coordinators of these local government areas would constitute their various executive and where they find any problem, they should come back to the state and senatorial coordinators for more assistance.

Chief Olorogun Omoru David, advised everyone present that in constituting the executive membership at the local government area level, people should not sit down at their homes and pick names of their relations but write names in consultations with their leaders, names of people that are actually on ground as their business is a very serious one since it does not have a family connotations but they must go back home to compile authentic list so that they will   notbedisappointed   attheend.

Hon. Ifeanyi Eboyigbe from Ika who also spoke appealed that the people should be carried along and as well accommodate every other existing group which has the intentions to join the Okowa campaign group since it requires a formidable force for them to get to the end of their journey as Hon. Idise Edward from Ukwuani said they are ready to abide by the message they had but told the gathering that they have the problem of leadership at Ukwuani which must be resolved for them to move forward where Mrs. Iwaraye appealed that the women should be carried along and never to be sidelined.
