OBIARUKU/Nigeria: A former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant in the just concluded primarily, Mr Atua Dafe has emerged as the All Progressive Congress (APC) Chairmanship candidate in the forthcoming local government election in the state.
According to reports, Mr Atua pulled a total of 98 votes to defeat Mr Precious Enuwewayoi who got 39 votes.
It will be recalled that Mr Atua Dafe is a brother to Ogbuefi Chukwudi Dafe the PDP chairmanship candidate in LG election in January 2018. The political rivalry between the duo has remained a mystery to many in Ukwuani Local government and especially in Obiaruku.
In the last PDP primaries, issues of imposition of candidate came up, andc the party leadership in the LGA had being working towards uniting the members of the party.
