KWALE/Nigeria: Ndokwa Neku Union (NNU) Youth Wing has inaugurated its Ogume chapter executives with a charge to be ambassadors of peace and serve as channels of communication between the various sphere of contacts and the national body.
In his address during the inauguration, the National President, NNU Youth Wing, Amb. (Comr.) Lucky Onyia stated that NNU Youth Wing has remained committed to the objective of repositioning Ndokwa youths for growth, effectiveness, multifaceted development and the need to speak with one voice.
He said, the unity of purpose of the three Ndokwa local governments has been top priority to NNU and that the body is working assiduously to achieve that aim which will in no mere measures bring unprecedented development to Ndokwa Nation.
The Newly Inaugurated Ogume NNU Youth Wing
The NNU Ogume Youth Clan Executives as inaugurated are: Comr. Nzie Romeo (Chairman), Comr. Odili Duke (Vice Chairman), Comr. Abanum Lucky (Sec. Gen.), Comr. Uweh Lucky (Treasurer), Comr. Otuya Augustine (Fin. Sec) and Comr. Nmor Joseph Ugo (Organizing Sec.).
Others are; Comr. Cletus Igba (PRO), Comr. Opia Kester (Provost), Comr. Omorlu (Auditor), Comr. Ilome Racheal (Female Co-ordinator), Comr. Chukudi Enudi (Asst Sec.), Comr. Olisedeme Edwin (Asst Organizing Sec.), Comr. Oluka Augustina (Asst Provost) and Comr. Ossai Favour (Asst Female Co-ordinator).
While inaugurating the excos, Comr. Onyia congratulated them and conveyed the goodwill message of the NNU National President-General, High Chief Johnson Opone to Ogume people for their support for NNU and for being peaceful. He called on the Ogume chapter of NNU to align whatever they do with the programmes of the national body which is basically to build and sustain peace, unity and oneness in Ndokwa.
Comr. Onyia therefore charged them to ensure that NNU in Ogume communities remain apolitical while carrying everyone along. “Be ambassadors of peace, preach peace and oneness in Ogume and in Ndokwa; let us all speak with one voice at all times.” he added.
The NNU Youth Wing President also called on the youths to shun violence and embrace peace even when peace seems cowardly.
According to him, “we have to work together as one, NNU is not affiliated to APC, PDP, APGA, NCP, SDP, or any other political party. NNU is basically nonpolitical with clearly defined objectives. And that purpose is to unite Ndokwa Nation, so that at all times we can speak with one voice as a people.” he said.
Meanwhile, the Ogume Community Development Committee (CDC) and the Onotu-ukus have pledged their support to NNU from the national level to the communities chapters.
In his response, Chief Ossai Albert thanked the NNU Youth Wing PG, Amb. (Comr.) Lucky Onyia for always fighting for the good course of development in Ndokwa nation. He assured him and NNU of the support of Ogume people even as he prayed God to continue to take NNU to greater heights.
Earlier in his inaugural address, the Ogume NNU chapter Chairman, Comr. Nzie Romeo thanked the National leadership of NNU for setting up the Ogume chapter and pledged to work with his executives within the confines of the NNU objectives for Ndokwa Nation.
Present at the inauguration were the national executives of NNU Youth Wing; Engr. (Comr.) Cletus Ogwu (Vice President), Comr. Obah Emmanuel (PRO), Comr. Godwin Obaseki (Taskforce), Hon. Prince Edemenya Felix (Ndokwa-East Asst Sec), Engr. (Comr.) Anie Augustine, Richard Ozuem, Atishie Ashinedu, Famous Chukwunedu, Osuya Eva, Comr. Onah Ada Nelly (Female Co-ordinator Ndokwa-West) and Enumah Sandra.
