Hon Alphonsus Ojo
Hon Alphonsus Ojo, member representing Ukwuani Local Government Area in Delta State House of Assembly has tasked Umutu people over development of the community.
He made the remark during the 2014 Igili day held at Igili Primary School, Umutu, Ukwuani.
The lawmaker noted that with the arrays of personalities the community has produced, Umutu would have been a town to reckon with in terms of self-help, projects, urging all to team up in order to move Umutu forward.
Earlier in a speech, Engr Dele Omenogor, chairman of the occasion has landed the Unutu development Union President General and his executive over its development initiative and for the cultural reawakening drive
In the same vein, the representative of Okpalu-uku in council, the Onochieze of Umutu, Chief Felix Oji and the counterpart, the Onotu-uku of Umutu Chief Ojoh have landed the development efforts of Umutu development union executive
The `duo noted this during the official commissioning of 14 lock-up stores constructed bu UDU executive to formally kick start the 2014 Igili day celebration.
While delivering his address, the UDU president General, Chief Gil Uzoka Urged all to donate generously for the rehabitation of existing roads in the community.
Uzoka further reassures the community of UDU’s commitment towards showcasing of the rich cultural heritage of Umutu kingdom to the world just as he pledged to judicioulsy use the funds released to execute capital projects in the community.
