The Ecumenical Apostolic Church Diocese (EACD) a body of Christ Across the Globe, on Saturday 10 May, 2014 under the Global Award of Excellence on Good Governance honoured Prophet T.B Joshua, Gov. Emmanuel Uduaghan, Hon Ossai N Ossai, Engr. Charles Emetulu, Gov Adams Oshomole, Chief Gabriel Igbenedion, Dame Mrs. Betty Efekhodia, HRM Amb Oyeche Promise, and Twelve others.

The award which was held at God Worshippers Assembly Worldwide, Obiaruku, was well attended by the recipients from far and near. The Chief host, Archbishop John Johntson from United Kingdom, the International Presiding Bishop of the body called on the people to have faith always while seeking God.

Speaking to newsmen after the occasion, Archbishop John Johnston says that Christianity and politics can never be separated. He gave example with King David that despite been the king of Israel, which is a political office, he still had time to attend to God, and this is evidence with his writing of the Psalms. And again most of the Prophets of that time were kings. Bishop Johnston concluded that for we to achieve total piece in the world Christians should go into governance, this will help to check the unwholesome activities of the politicians.

Also speaking to newsmen, the Bishop of God Worshippers Assembly Worldwide, Bishop Nmalagu O.G Greatman says that the award was created to honour those that are doing good work to improve the living standards of humanity. He says that the twenty five recipients where carefully chosen and screened before the body arrived at the decision to give the award to those who were honoured. Continuing, Bishop Nmalagu opined that it is proper for the body of Christ to honour not just Christians, but also leaders and politicians.

Those in attendance were Hon Ossai N. Ossai, HRH Amb. Onyeche Promise, Dame (Mrs) Betty Efekodhia, Rev Dr. Felix Omobude, Archbishop Goddowell Avwomakpa, Hon Barr B.N Osakunih Izuegbu. The Isama of Benin, Chief Gabriel Igbenedion was represented by his son, Hon Charles Igbenedion, Engr Charles Emetulu, Commkisioner for Energy Delta State, by Mr John Obi while the Transition Chairman Ukwuani LGA, Hon Ochor C. Ochor represented Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.

The governor of Delta State who was expected at the award ceremony could not make it because of his engagement with the President of the Federal republic of Nigeria, President GoodLuck Jonathan at the ground breaking of the Nigeria Maritime University, at Gbaramatu Kingdom.
