EFFURUN/Nigeria: A motor cycle dispatched rider working in one of the new generation commercial banks in Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area who simply identified himself as Ola cheated death as he narrowly escaped from the hands of suspected ritualists at the notorious Otokutu Bridge area last week.

The middle age man narrated that he was on duty riding on the Otokutu Bridge between Uvwie and Ughelli South Local Government Areas when he was double crossed and bundled into a waiting vehicle by some men and driven to an unknown destination along with some chained victims in the vehicle.

He narrated further that when he regained consciousness, he said that they were in far away coal city of Enugu in a traffic jam and that fortunately for him he was not properly chained and that this gave him the opportunity to jump out of the vehicle which was conveying them to unknown destination.

It would be recalled that there has been series of such ugly incidents in the Otokutu Bridge area in the past where some suspected ritualists were caught and lynched by angry mob.
