NDOKWA EAST 2019: OPEN LETTER TO THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF DELTA STATE ( SEN DR IFEANYI ARTHUR OKOWA).

Your Excellency Sir,

I Am Compelled To Write You Expressing My Concern And That Of 80% Of Ndokwa Easterners Over What May Be Termed As; Perceived Imposition Of Candidate On Us The People Of Ndokwa East For The House Of Assembly Representation Ahead Of The 2019 General Elections.

Sir, It Is Most Unfortunate That At Such A Time When Stability And Fair Play Is Being Born Anew Into Our Party PDP A Clear Demonstration Of These Is Clearly Seen From Your Own Resent Elections. Being A Product Of A Credible Democratic Primary Process Both At The Senatorial And Governorship Elections Subsequently. And Haven Chaired The Freest National Convention Plus Played As The Unbiased Electoral Umpire In The Most Recent Ekiti Primary Election, I Must Say Have Begun To Rebuild Confidence Amongst Our People With Regards To Our Party The PDP.

Again, I Reiterate That You Created A World Class Record Worthy Of Emulation. It Therefore  Beats My Imagination That Something Less Of Your unprecedented Record May Be Allowed To Play Out Right Under Your Watch, If Our Party Is Truly Allowed To Impose Candidates Much To The Dissatisfaction Of The Masses.

Sir, It Is Indeed Saddening That At Such A Time When Our Party Is Yet On A Convincing Mission Being Marketed As A ” Rebranded PDP”, Haven Learnt Bitterly From It’s Shortfalls Would Want To Impose And Market A Candidate Whose ” Certificate Forgery Ruling” By A Court Of Competent Jurisdiction, Is Yet To Be Upturned By A Higher Court And Has So Far Been Rejected By His People.

It Is No Longer News That The Ndokwa East people Have Suffered So Much From Poor, Selective Representation And Denied Of Developmental Projects These Past Years. It Therefore Came As Great Relief When We Hope That Our Party Would Provide A Level Playing Ground For Interested Candidates, Including The Incumbent If The Party So Deems That The Last Court Ruling Over His Certificate Saga Was Of No Legal Consequence On His Aspiration And Wishes To Go With The Risk Of His Candidature.

However, If The Party Still Insists On Going On With The Imposition, Then We Would Be Left With No Option But To Seek Our Political Destiny And Democratic Freedom Through Other Platforms.

As They Say; ” A Stitch In Time Saves Nine” I Am Therefore Calling On The Governor (Sen Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa) And The Leadership Of PDP In The State To Ensure That Ndokwa East Matters Is Not Treated With Levity.

I Pray, This Looming Imposition Is Aborted Otherwise Could Be Detrimental To The Anioma Agenda Which Is As Important As The Ndokwa East Agenda.  The General Vested Interest Of The Good People Of Ndokwa East Should Not Be Sacrificed On The Alters Of Politics.

I Would Want To Continually Trust The Best Judgment Of The Peoples Governor Who Most Recently During The Last PDP Stakeholders Meeting At Unity Hall, Govt House, Emphasized That He Would Have No Choice But To Support The Candidate Of The Masses As That Is The Only Sure Way To Secure Our 2019 Successfully.

Sir, I Urge You To Stand By Your Words.

Yours Faithfully

Comr Chukwuemeka Simeon.

President General Of Ndokwa East Youth.
