The people of Delta State, particularly those in positions of authority have been urged to see such position as platforms to impact positively on humanity.
A retired army officer, Mr. Tuman Francis Tokumbo made the call recently at Obiaruku, headquarters of Ukwuani local government area of Delta State during the week.
“as people are getting ready to cast their votes in the forthcoming local government election, Mr. Tokumbo urged those in position of authority to reflect on their struggles and achievements in life, noting that power come from God, adding that service to God can be achieved through service to mankind.
He suggested that Politicians power should not be sees as a means to an end but rather, an opportunity to improve the general well being of the citizens they elected or appointed to serve in the ordinance and in that fulfillment of God” purpose on earth.
“I enjoined all of you in position of authority to put God first in all you do and remember that you are there not by your own power but by the divine power of God via people who were behind you.
