Anthony Obuh
A group known as Ndokwa Re-Orientation Network whose agenda is to re- orientate Ndokwa people as well as other Deltans has called for the need to support a good candidate who can move Delta forward.
In a bid to making this a reality the leadership recently met where they appraised the various aspirants under PDP platform on their merit and eventually settled on Anthony Obuh as their preferred candidate.
For taking this far reaching decision, the group advanced the following reasons for the call: through the National Chairman Mr. Ebuekwu Ken Christo, who on behalf of the group call on all Ndokwa Sons and Daughters to mobilize their supports for the governorship aspiration of Mr Anthony Chuks Obuh and equally extends the same call to all other ethnic nationalities in Delta state.
That Anthony Obuh is from Delta North, that he has been in the civil service for over 32 years who understands the transformation policies of the present Governor Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan and can continue with them.
The statement further said, that Obuh as a civil servant has no political friends and enemies as he sees every Deltan as a friend, brother and sister and that all other ethnic nationalities in Delta State should accept him, as subsequent turn can go to other places and with time will go round.
Continuing, the national chairman said that because of his background there will be peace in the state, and the fear by some aspirants that if I don’t have it this time, I will be too old by the time it comes back to Delta North should be discouraged because one person can only be a governor at a time.
The group strongly believe that if governance is all about experience, sincerity and trust, we are asking all Deltans to support Obuh, so that his experience in the past 32 years with different leaderships can be maximized.
For once “let’s have a smooth transition and Deltans should learn to achieve leadership position without heating up the polity because the present Governor Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan in his wisdom has achieved a lot in bringing back peace to Delta State and we cannot say no to this”. The statement said.
