Activities of the Islamic Militant group, Boko Haram, from rag tag group engaging in kidnapping, killing of innocent people, suicide bombing has become an army of occupation destroying whatever is opposed to their ideology.
Since the successful adoption of over two hundred school girls from Girls Secondary School, Chibok in Bornu State, the group strength and tactics had continued to advance to a military force of relevance.
It is painful that as a result of activities of Boko Haram, Nigeria had become a laughing stock among the comity of nations where those in government cannot defend the unity and integrity of a country which they took an oat to do.
Recently there was the case of the so called ‘ragtag army of militants’ chasing over 500 ‘strong Nigerian Army’ across the border to Cameroun and every day the story of how the Boko Haram members were disgracing our military to the extent of planting their flags in some areas of the country to say the least, calls for concern.
Is President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan weak to govern Nigeria? Why is Nigeria Being humiliated? What are those voted into Office to defend the country doing? Are we going to continue to watch and allow the permanent destruction of the country’s structure? Mr President, what is the way forward for Nigeria?
Let the truth be told, Nigerians are tired. Apart from the insecurity, the rate of corruption and impunity among the ruling class is alarming. Their actions have done nothing but increased the alienation of the country by the world.
We cannot continue this way. The government needs to act and act fast. Every government action should prepare Nigerians for the challenges ahead.
The lives of Nigerians should be number one priority, irrespective of religion and region.
Mr President, stop the massacres and embarrassment now.
