Delta State Commissioner of police Mr.AKali Usman

The new Delta State Commissioner of police Mr.AKali Usman, who resumed office recently has stated that with the structure on ground Delta State Police command will combat crime to its brim, speaking to newsmen at his office in police state headquarters ,the police boss noted that the command will continue to be alert to its responsibility of protecting lives and property and to achieve this noble goal, the command will collaborate with stakeholders in the security business.
He appeals to the public to join hands with the police and her sister agency by giving useful information on criminals and their activities, he opined that within the past two months the state command has continued to deliver on its core mandate of prevention of crime by reducing crime wave to the barest minimum through the robust crime preventive and fighting measures and make the entire state uncondusive for criminal elements to operate.
The police achievements within the months under review includes 48 armed robbers arrested,3 wounded during gun battle,7 kidnapped victim rescued,6 English made riffles recovered,31 locally made riffles recovered,53 ammunition recovered,112 cartridges recovered,12 stolen vehicles recovered,10 cultist arrested, and 30 suspects charged to court.
He further stated that the challenges facing him in Delta state is enormous, that he came in the state where everybody is complaining of kidnapping, armed robbery and murder, he called on the state government to assist him in security check, adding that the visibility patrol will be enhanced, and his focused is on the prevention of crime, then if police, prisons, judiciary plays their role then justice will prevail.
However, the New commissioner of police have been paying courtesy visits to the various arms of government respectively to ensure proper security check in the state.
