Omenogor Counsels Amai People on Obedience to Govt Directive on Covid-19

OBIARUKU/Nigeria: The people of Amai kingdom in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta state, have been advised to abide strictly to the instructions of government at all levels in their quest to prevent and contain the spread of corona virus.

Sir Dr Dele Omenogor gave the advice, when he donated food stuffs to the people of Amai kingdom, Ukwuani Local Government Area.

He said the decision of the donation was in response to the negative effect of hunger on the people, resulting from the corona virus pandemic lock down, knowing that most households in Amai are subsistence in fending for their families.

While calling on the people to be focused, love one another and be their brothers’ keeper, he said they should mind outsiders (none indigenes) attempts to disintegrate the kingdom, reminding them that united they stand and divided they fall.

Chief Dele Omenogor, who is also the Odogwu Adi ebuo of Amai kingdom, said the food stuffs which include twenty two bags of fifty kilogram rice, twenty four bags of beans and forty two creates of egg will be shared among the most vulnerable households in the five communities of  Amai kingdom, to enable them survive the pangs of COVID-19 lock down.

Omenogor, a peace Ambassador of United Nation, commended the exemplary efforts of His Excellency, Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for his proactive provision and mobilization of health personnel to be on red alert to battle corona virus to submission if it dares surface in Delta state.

He equally lauded the Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government Council, Chief Chukudi Dafe for his sensitization and hygiene equipments and products provision effort in the area, calling on all other well to do private individuals to come out with palliative support to cushion the effects of COVID-19.

While receiving the food stuffs, the various Community heads at Amai, appreciated sir Omenogor for his kind gesture, as he is a grassroot man that stops at nothing to ensure that people are comfortable.

The community heads said he remains a skipper in attending to the very low and even the high, adding that the only thing that makes Omenogor happy is when others are happy, as humanitarian gesture to the needy has been displayed on number of occasions and has been acknowledged within Ndokwa nation and beyond, calling on others to emulate him.
