The people of Ndokwa Nation had been called upon to see to the emergence of an Ndokwa Man as the governor of Delta State, come 2015.
In a statement read by the president of Ndokwa Neku Union (NNU), Pharm Paul Enebeli after a meeting held to deliberate the position of the Ndokwa People in the general election in 2015, said that it is the time for a person of Ndokwa extraction to occupy the seat of the Governor of Delta State.
According to the statement, the meeting which was called to examine and advice the best way out for an Ndokwa aspirant was to meet with the various aspirants who purchased form for the election.
In the final communiqué the body decided to select three aspirants from the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency of Ndokwa East, Ndokwa West and Ukwuani to be presented to kingmakers in Delta State to be considered.
The statement also encouraged the three aspirants selected to work together to see that Ndokwa man or woman becomes the governor of the State come 2015.
To achieve this, the meeting agreed that the NNU will continue further consultation with other ethnic nationalities in Delta State to sell the aspirants to them.
The meeting was attended by sons and daughters of Ndokwa, among whom are the Executives of NNU, President General of Ukwuani Development Union (UDU), Gen Onyekwele (RTD) , three of the Governorship Aspirants, Chief Godwill Obielum, Hon Charles Emetulu and Dr (Mrs) Dame Esther Uduehi.
