The chairman of Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Barr Ifeanyi Chris Osakwe, has vowed to make the welfare of the council staff and the people of the area his priority.
The chairman made the assertion during the swearing-in ceremony of the elected councilors at the council secretariat, Kwale.
Barr. Osakwe told the people of the area to have faith in his government promising, not to disappoint the people – “I promise to pay salaries as at when due, accumulated bills will be depleted progressively, we will execute the business of government with provocation and transparency so that together we can move Ndokwa West Local Government to a greater height. Their suggestions will take adequate consideration at all time. The welfare of the staff and the people of Ndokwa West is my priority.
“Once more, I congratulate you my colleagues on your swearing-in – May you have a rewarding government service in Jesus name”, he said.
On behalf of the councillors, Hon. Immanuel Ejechi promised to do their best to make laws that will bring down the dividends of democracy to the people of Ndokwa West; create employment for the youths, empowerment for women and the general development of the area.
Dignitaries at the occasion include Barr Patrick Osakwe, formal senator, Delta North and father of the chairman), Mr. Charles Emetulu, former commissioner for power and energy, Engr. Dan Ossai PDP chairman, Ndokwa West Local Government, HRM Ezemu of Emu kingdom amongst others.
Ndokwa West Local Government Area, made up of 18 wards has 18 councillors under the chairmanship of Barr Chris Ifeanyi Osakwe – all dully elected.
