Platform Petroleum Limited in partnership with Ogbe-Uzu/Adonishaka Community have commenced the construction of 300 Metres link Road in Adonishaka.
According to the Oil and Gas Chairman, Mr.Nwaiku Joseph, the road which is the only access road to the community stream as well as their Farm has been rendered impassable for years because of impact of gully erosion.
Nwaiku noted that the project is an asphalted one as the road will be concreted to provide lasting solution to the road.
The Chairman said that so far the project has gulped over 250 trips of laterite and a great deal have been done at the project site.
Nwaiku also affirmed that the project which will be borne by both Platform Petroleum and Adonishaka Community will cost about 14 million and would be done according to cash at hand and noted that 315m job will be done.
In an interview, residents and other users of the road under construction lauded Platform Petroleum Limited and the Adonishaka Oil/Gas Chairman for saving them from the hardship experienced from the road.
