ASABA/Nigeria: Activities marking the 2021-Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration in the Delta State will begin on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, with the Armed Forces Remembrance Emblem launch.
The launch will hold at the Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba at 1.00 pm prompt.
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State is expected to preside over the ceremonies as special guest of honour and will flag off the launching of the Armed Forces Emblem.
According to a statement signed by the State Director of Information, an inter-denominational church service will hold on Sunday, January 10, 2021, at Very Rev Omeni Memorial Methodist Church, Infant Jesus Road, Asaba at 10.00 am.
The statement said the grand finale will hold on Friday, January 15, 2021, with a military parade and laying of wreath, at the Cenotaph, High Court Road, Asaba at 9.00 am prompt.
It therefore invited all top government functionaries, permanent secretaries, chairmen and members of boards and commissions, traditional rulers, service commanders, executive members of the state chapter of the Nigerian Legion, captains of industry, party Chieftains, the organized private sector, stakeholders in the Delta State Project.
The statement, however, noted that guests are to be seated at the venue for the launch at 12.30 pm prompt.
