Very Rev Fr Chido Ikiseh thanking God with other Priests
The Catholic Bishop of Warri Diocese, Bishop John Aferaha has called on Nigerians to re-dedicate their lives to national development, the Bishop made the call on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Parish Priest of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Ekpan, Very Rev Fr Chido Ikiseh, on Saturday 20, 2015.

The Bishop in his congratulatory message to the celebrant, which was delivered by Rev Fr Clement Abobo, said “that the celebration of 50 years in the life of any man or nation is a mature age of individuals or national development”. He therefore enjoyed Christians to use the occasion of such celebration to reflect on the issues of our national development.

Also speaking at the occasion, very Rev Fr Roysthom Onaghaghame, who said the homily, called on the celebrant to continue to intercede on behalf of the nation in his prayers, as God had positioned him for that.
Some of those who spoke to our reporter at the occasion called for the church to be more involved in the affairs of the state, to help check the downward slide in national development.
While, sir John Ossai, the commandant of the Knights of John International, Obiaruku Commandery see life responsibilities increasing with age, he called for the church to encourage members to be good ambassadors in politics, rather than doing things that undermine the essence of good politics and governance, Chief Chris Adigo, former President of the Nigerian Institute of Safety Professionals, (NISP), while congratulating Very Rev Fr. Chido Ikiseh for attaining the age of 50, called on the government of Nigeria at all level to make life easy for Nigerians by making available all necessary amenities for better living.
