ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Commissioner for Lands and Surveys, Barr. (Mrs) Kate Onianwa, has commended the wife of the Delta State Governor and founder of the 05 Initiative in the state, Dame Edith Okowa, initiating the programme, aimed at touching lives in the state.
The commissioner gave the commendation during the commissioning of Obioma Water Supply Scheme at Illah in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State which was provided for the people of Obioma community by Dame Okowa through her O5 Initiative programme.
Barr. Onianwa stated that the O5 initiative programme had touched many lives greatly, adding that ”the water project is mind blowing, Her Excellency has fulfilled the promise she made to Illah people. I pray that God will give her all the money she needs to touch many lives,” she stated.
The commissioner said that water was one of the most important basic amenities Obioma people needed.
“‘Before now, they drank dirty water, they went to streams to fetch water, but now, that burden has been relieved from them by Her Excellency.”
She described the founder of O5 initiative as her role model, God fearing and humble personality.
