Transparency Forum Hails Okowa For Appointing Ika Sons and Daughters Into His Govt.

A political pressure group based in Ika land, Transparency Forum, has hailed the appointments so far made by the Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa. The group noted that with the calibre of persons appointed the governor has given clear indication that his administration was poised to give Deltans purposeful leadership.
The President of the forum, Mr. Innocent Dunu, who gave the commendation during a courtesy visit to the Director of Protocol, Government House, Asaba, Hon. Ifeanyi Eboigbe in his office, to formally felicitate with him on his appointment, said the group was very impressed with the steps so far taken by the governor.
He maintained that those appointed were men and women of proven integrity whose commitment to the growth and sustainable development of Delta State was not in doubt.
He particularly commended Governor Okowa for the opportunity given to some Ika sons and daughters, including Dr. Kingsley Emu, Commissioner for Economic Planning, Mr. Chiedu Ebie, Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Rt. Hon. Martin Okonta, Special Adviser on Land Resources and Legislative Matters, Mr. Hillary Ibegbulem, Principal Secretary, Hon. Raymond Mgbakor, Senior Special Assistant ( Special Duties ), Mr.Jonathan Onwuka, Special Assistant (Media), Mrs Sophia Happiness Odogwu, Senior Special Assistant (Protocol), Mr. Emeke Asiwe, Special Assistant, Youth and Community Development, Mrs Mary Agbogwe, Senior Special Assistant ( Women Mobilisation), Comrade Jerry Ehiwarior, Special Assistant ( Students Affairs), Prince Victor Efeizomor, Special Assistant ( Media ) and Mr. Tony Otokhine, Political Assistant ( Special Duties), to serve in his administration.
He expressed confidence on the ability of the appointees to support the governor in achieving his SMART agenda, which he noted would bring prosperity to the people of Delta State, and urged Deltans to remain steadfast in their support and prayer for the current administration in the state.
Responding, the Director of Protocol, Ifeanyi Eboigbe thanked members of Transparency Forum for the visit, saying it was a pointer to the group’s confidence on Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, and advised them to always pray for the governor and the state.
He affirmed that the Okowa administration is set to positively affect the lives of Deltans, even as he stressed the need for everyone to join hands with the governor to move the state forward.
“We all need to make our contributions for the success of the administration. I believe the progress of our dear state lies in our collective efforts. I therefore, call on Deltans to join hands with the governor to move our dear state forward,” he stated.
