ISELE-UKU/Nigeria: To further demonstrate the determination and readiness of the Issele Uku Vigilante Group in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, to rid the locality of all forms of criminal elements.
The group recently recovered a motor bike believed to have been snatched at the neighbouring Onicha Ugbo community.
The chairman of the group, Mr Nkadi Obunwa, disclosed this during an interactive session with journalists in his office at Issele Uku.
He said that it was possible as a result of the combined efforts and effective coordination of his members, just as he explained that gun shot was exchange between the criminals and his members before his men overpowered them and recovered the motor bike.
The vigilante boss stressed that the sustained synergy between them and the police had continued to yield expected result in reducing crime rate within the locality.
He used to opportunity to thank the former speaker of Delta State legislature, Hon, Victor Ochei, for donating a Sienna bus to the vigilante group to ease operation in the locality.
Similarly, he called on other well-placed individuals to support the group in any capacity they could, to motivate them to continue to work with out reservation.
