ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Commissioner for Finance, Sir Fidelis Tilije has lauded Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s investment in youth development programs.
Sir Tilije stated this Friday, May 13 2022 in an interview, when the Ministry of Youth Development graduated and distributed business startup packs to beneficiaries of the second cycle of the Rural Youth Skill Acquisition Programme (RYSA) in Asaba.
He stated that the Okowa administration was youth-friendly owing to the fact that most youths had been trained and equipped with the necessary tools to make a living through STEP, YAGEP, WESA, ICT training and other programs.
The finance commissioner, who expressed joy with the performance of the beneficiaries from Ukwuani Local Government Area, commended them for giving back to the society.
“These particular beneficiaries during their Community Development Service (CDS) visited Obiaruku Grammar School and Akashiede Girls College where they encouraged students on the importance of having a skill. They also visited Goddy Becca Ifelunwa (GBI) orphanage Ebedei,” Tilije said, adding that their efforts were worthy of commendation.
He urged them not to lose focus on their business goals, but to remain diligent, prudent, disciplined, and have a proper booking acumen, and also keep the flame of success burning.
