WARRI/Nigeria: A young lady, Ese (surname withheld) and a female teenager narrowly escaped from the hands of suspected kidnappers in Otokutu and Warri on Friday 24th June, 2022.
Ese is a resident of Orhuwhorun Community in Udu Local Government Area and she works in a contracting company in Shell Yard Ogunu in Warri South Local Government Area.
She was said to have boarded a commercial bus (aka kelegbe) on the fateful day to her place of work.
It was gathered that there was a female passenger (who was later identified as a member of the kidnappers’ group) when she boarded the bus.
“Immediately she (Ese) entered the bus, she was ushered in with a whitish smoke,” our source narrated.
It was gathered also that on inhaling the whitish smoke, Ese almost lost consciousness and that in the process, screamed the name of Jesus to the annoyance of the suspected female accomplice in the bus.
The suspected female kidnapper was said to have rebuked Ese for shouting the name of Jesus.
“Obviously overpowered by the name of Jesus they hurriedly dropped Ese at Otokutu Junction by Express Way,” the source added.
The source, who is an employer of Ese, disclosed that Ese was in a good state of health and but a bit nervous when she reported for duty.
In a related development, a female teenager narrowly escaped from the claws of kidnappers on the same fateful day.
The little girl was said to be on errand and that she boarded the suspected kidnappers commercial tricycle keke) at the popular Okurode (Ekurede Urhobo) Junction to Ogunu.
It was gathered that there was a suspected female kidnapper in the said keke.
The female teenager was said to have rightly suspected that she had ignorantly embarked on a journey of misfortune when the keke rider navigated the bypass on Ogunu Road to the ever busy Warri NPA-Effurun Expressway instead of going to her Ogunu destination.
The suspecting and apprehensive little girl was said to have screamed the name Jesus loudly and severally to the hearing of other commuters.
Sensing danger, the suspected kidnappers were said to have immediately dropped the girl and zoomed off towards Government House Annex direction of the Expressway unchallenged.
