Christians in Ndokwa nation has been called to support the present government in Delta State, led by Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.
The call was made recently by an aide to the governor on Religious Matters, Bishop Greatman O.G. Nmalagu at the annual event of the Ndokwa Christians Congress, with a theme, “The Gospel, the Church and the Community”, held in Emu-Unor, Ndokwa West LGA, Delta state.
Bishop Nmalagu said that, there is the need for the people of Ndokwa, especially the various denomination of Christians to use their offices to pray for the protection and success of the present government.
According to him, “Ministers of the gospel and Christians of all denomination should use their offices to give spiritual and physical support to the government”.
Speaking further, he reminded the Ndokwa Christians that within the one hundred days in office, the present government had achieved a lot that warrant praise from all citizens of Delta state, most especially the people of Ndokwa with the various appointments made so far, which had favoured the people of the area.
He also said that apart from the appointments the present government agenda of “Prosperity for All Deltans” is being achieved through the empowerment programme already embarked by the administration and the loans and grants giving to small and medium scale businesses in the state.
He concluded that with the support and prayer of the Christians in Ndokwa, more dividends of good governance will be achieved within the tenure of this government.
Also speaking at the occasion, the Chairman of the congress, Rev. Daniel Ozah, thanked the governor, Ifeanyi Okowa for the achievement recorded within his one hundred days in office, and for the appointments of Ndokwa sons and daughters to various offices in the state.
Speaking on the theme of the congress, Rev. Ozah said that the church and the government should always work together to fulfil the message of the gospel, and when this is done the community will benefit from such synergy, and the church in Ndokwa is always ready to work with the government for a better community development.
