UGBOMORO/Nigeria: Catholic men have been charged to entrench the moral values of Christianity in their children.
This charge was given by the Parish Priest of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, Ebrumede Rev. Fr. Jeremiah Owhe while addressing the Ugbomro Deanery members of the Catholic Men Organization of Nigeria, (CMON) who held their Bi-monthly meeting in the Parish.
According to him, the family is the foundation of any such, stressing that once the family was weak society would suffer.
He urged the men to always find time to be with their family, pray with them, and always engage the children.
The clergy told men that they were the parish priests of their family while their wives were the assistant parish priests, noting that the children were the parishioners.
He charged them to always engage in family devotion, family prayers, and make sure they pray for the family and then the priesthood as these two institutions were under severe attack by the devil the victory of Satan was not permanent but that of God is eternal.
Rev. Fr. Owhe charged the men to be sensitive to the need of others, especially those around them, and share the little they had, adding that there was joy in sharing.
