Bishop Greatman Nmalagu
The Executive Assistant to the governor on Religious Matters, Bishop Greatman Nmalagu, has described the victory of Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa at the State Electoral Tribunal as victory for all Deltans.
Bishop Nmalagu stated this in his office in Asaba recently when he granted audience to some journalists.
According to him “The victory was for the good people of Delta state, as it is the will of God that Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa should be the governor of Delta state”.
Bishop Nmalagu making reference to the scripture, compared the present situation in the state to that of David, who was favoured by God to lead the people of Israel, as God favour is upon Okowa.
On the response of the opposition, by going to the appeal court, he said going to the appeal will be worst for the opposition, as the people of Delta massively voted for Okowa, because of God’s grace and anointing on him, and ,that same God will see him victorious at the appeal court.
“The same God that made him to win the election, the same God that made him to win the primaries, the same God that saw him trough at the tribunal, that same God will see him through”. He said.
He therefore called on the opposition to unite with the present government to move the state forward, if they have any genuine intention for the state.
The aide to the governor also used the occasion to call on all religious leaders in the state to continue to pray for the state, and the governor for God continuous guidance and wisdom, for it is only the will of God, he is the Governor today.
“No government will be, except God says so”. He concluded.
