DESOPADEC MD Pledges Support to Revitalize Warri

WARRI/Nigeria: In a bid to rejuvenate Warri, Chief Festus Ochonogor, the Managing Director/CEO of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), has declared the commission’s commitment to revitalizing the city. This assertion was made during a meeting with the management and crew of Waffi TV, held at the Commission’s headquarters in Effurun, Delta State, on Tuesday.

Chief Ochonogor commended Waffi TV for its innovative approach in engaging the youth and fostering creativity within the community. He urged the station’s youthful team to uphold high standards of creativity, service delivery, and technological advancement, emphasizing the importance of portraying a positive image through their programming.

Moreover, he encouraged the Waffi TV crew to leverage modern technology to showcase Delta’s potential to the world, emphasizing the importance of connectivity and innovation in a competitive business landscape.

Highlighting DESOPADEC’s role in fostering development, Chief Ochonogor pledged support to Waffi TV in terms of infrastructure, capacity building, and human capital development. He underscored the significance of partnerships in advancing the commission’s mandate to improve the lives of people in the region.

In response, Pastor Arex Akemotubo, the Manager and founder of Waffi TV, expressed gratitude for DESOPADEC’s support, citing the commission’s contribution to the station’s entrepreneurship initiatives. He highlighted Waffi TV’s accessibility, particularly through satellite broadcasting, making it available to a wide audience.

The event culminated in the presentation of a picture frame to Chief Festus Ochonogor by the Waffi TV crew, symbolizing the partnership between DESOPADEC and the television station in driving positive change and development in Warri and its environs.
