ASABA/Nigeria: In a startling revelation, Delta Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu, declared today that her ministry was oblivious to recent teacher and principal redeployments within the state’s secondary schools.
Addressing concerns at her office in the Prof Chike Edozien Secretariat, Mrs. Ezewu asserted the ministry’s stance, stating, “The ministry under my watch was not aware of recent redeployment of teachers and principals.”
Emphasizing the government’s commitment to educator welfare through the MORE agenda, the commissioner underscored the significance of administrators and staff in secondary schools.
Expressing concern over the lack of procedural adherence in recent postings, Mrs. Ezewu warned of immediate investigations and reversals for postings made without due process by the Post Primary Education Board.
She sternly cautioned against unauthorized transfers, pledging consequential actions against perpetrators.
In a final admonition, Mrs. Ezewu urged all teachers and principals to remain steadfast in their current posts, as the ministry had not sanctioned any redeployments.
