Beloved Medical Leader Dr. Francis Nwabua Mourned by MDCAN Delta State

ASABA/Nigeria: The Medical and Dental Consultants’ Association of Nigeria (MDCAN), in conjunction with the Hospitals Management Board (HMB) of Delta State, is mourning the loss of a cherished member and former Chairman, Dr. Francis Izuegbunem Nwabua.

Dr. Philemon Okolie, Chairman of MDCAN HMB Delta State, and Dr. Valentine Eziashi, Publicity Secretary, conveyed the somber news, revealing that Dr. Nwabua passed away on March 6th, 2024, at the age of 53.

In a statement, the association announced the funeral arrangements, commencing with a Service of Songs at Christ Embassy Church, Summit Junction, Asaba, on Tuesday, April 30th, 2024, at 4pm.

On Wednesday, May 1st, a motorcade will transport Dr. Nwabua’s remains from Asaba Specialist Hospital mortuary to General Hospital Ibusa, making a brief stopover, before proceeding to his hometown, Ogwashi-Uku in Aniocha South LGA, Delta State.

Lying-in-state and a funeral service will take place at Nwaeze Primary School Isiokwe, Azungwu, beginning at 10am, followed by interment at his compound in Azungwu quarters, Ogwashi-Uku.

An Outing Service in honor of the late Dr. Nwabua will be held at Christ Embassy Church, Summit Junction, Asaba, on Sunday, May 5th, 2024, at 9:30am.

MDCAN expressed deep regret over the loss of their former Chairman and extended prayers for his soul to find peace in the embrace of the Almighty.

Survived by his wife, Mrs. Chinonye Nwabua, and three children, Dr. Francis Nwabua served as the Medical Director of General Hospital Ibusa in Oshimili North local government area until his passing.
