The Commissioner representing the Itsekiri Nationality at the Delta State Oil Producing Area Developing Commission Hon. Evangelist Michael Diden, who is also the general coordinator Delta Political Vanguard for Okowa 2015, has assured members of the political pressure group that they are working with the right candidate for the plump job as the Governor of Delta State come 2015.
Deacon Diden, popularly called Ejele by his admirers, who addressed stalwarts of the Peoples Democratic Party, members of Delta Political Vanguard for Okowa 2015 in Sapele including the Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Author Okowa, said he is happy working with the Senator for his antecedents as a man of enviable credentials.
He said even though the adage has it that the beginning of my any journey may be difficult, yet they have already set out to succeed in their quest at ensuring Senator Okowa emerged as the next Governor of Delta State come 2015, pointing out that of all the people who formed
the political pressure group that supported Chief James Ibori into power, 3 quarter of them are already members of the Delta Political Vanguard for Okowa, adding that as the word football stands for, they are the Brazilians of this political vanguard, who are already in a
moving train that can never be stopped.
He assured Deltans that by the grace of Almighty God, they will achieve their goals and that they should vote for candidate that knows their plight, knows their feelings so that their situation will turn around for good as Dr. Okowa has been a man they all know from the very foundation of Delta politic, who is today very active in the system as a very patient man that has contributed immensely towards the development of Delta State.
Hon. Diden maintained that Dr. Okowa having been a good apprentice all the years, now deserves to be a good master, not only to few but a very good master to the entire Delta State.
The DESOPADEC Commissioner said he as a moving train and a motivator, anyone that delays in jumping in will be left behind, advising all Deltans that the train they see today is already on a fast lane, pleading to all Deltans irrespective of their tribes and religion to join the moving train so that what happened to the children of Israel in the days of Noah will not happen to Deltans, thanking God for those who learnt their lessons from Noah’s experience and have joined the Okowa boat.
In a chat with journalists soon after the event, Comrade Foreman, Brown Idogho, the public relations officer of Delta Vanguard for Okowa 2015, thanked all the members cut across the three senatorial district of Delta State who came in their large numbers to attend the event in Sapele.
He explained that Delta Political Vanguard was established by those people having ex-rayed the political situation in Delta State, particularly realizing that the incumbent Governor, Dr. Eweta Uduaghan has already served the people creditably well, and by that arrangement, another credible person should be supported to take over the mantle of leadership from him so that his good legacies will continue and to be improved upon.
Comrade Idogho explained that the only credible Deltans they in the Delta Vanguard discovered that could rule Deltan very well like the Governor who is a detribalized Deltan is Dr. Okowa, since he is very experienced in governance from his grass root experience as a council secretary where he rose from the rank and files to become a Senator.
The PRO said Dr. Okowa knows every ward in Delta State unlike many of those parading themselves as Governorship candidates who does not even know the names of the 25 local government councils and their headquarters, adding that Dr. Okowa knows the needs of Deltans more than anyone so he could be better placed to address them when he steps
in as Governor.
He urged all Deltans to shun money bags who will come to them with their sugar coated tongues that they will do this or that and vote wisely for Okowa who already knows the nitty-gritty of government and how to tackle them head log.
Pa E.K. Gbaragada, an elder in Warri North PDP, Senator Francis Nwajei and Captain Pius Senebe who were also at the event called on Deltans to support Dr. Okowa when the time comes since he has good agenda for Deltans as Captain Senebe enjoins Deltans to note that Governor Uduaghan can only hand over power to the man who can deliver the people and such a person is Dr. Okowa, a man who has served his people faithfully since the very beginning of politic in 1979.
