ASABA/Nigeria: The Wife of the Delta State Governor and Founder of the You Matter Charity Foundation, Her Excellency, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, on Wednesday continued the distribution of food items in Asaba under the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) Food Outreach Scheme, a federal government intervention program spearheaded by the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu (CON).
At the event held at Government House, Asaba, Deaconess Oborevwori distributed 3,000 bags of semolina and 2,500 cartons of pasta to 400 households across the state, extending the scope of a previous round of food support aimed at cushioning the impact of economic hardship on vulnerable groups.
“A few months ago, this outreach began with a limited distribution. Today, on behalf of Her Excellency, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I am honored to extend this gesture to a larger number of our people,” she said, lauding Senator Tinubu’s compassionate leadership and the growing impact of the Renewed Hope Initiative on grassroots communities.
She emphasized the importance of remaining hopeful and prayerful as the initiative reaches more homes. “It is our earnest prayer that this empowerment continues to spread, touching every doorstep in Delta State,” she added.
In a message of support, the Wife of the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency Mrs. Catherine Onyeme, represented by the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu, commended Deaconess Oborevwori for strengthening collaboration with the First Lady of Nigeria to deliver real empowerment to those in need. Beneficiaries, including persons with disabilities, the elderly, orphanages, and the visually impaired, also expressed gratitude for the life-changing intervention.
