AWKA/Nigeria: Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has hailed the commitment of Generation Z supporters to his administration and second-term bid, describing their grassroots mobilization through technology as a powerful endorsement of his leadership.
Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, the governor expressed delight at the unveiling of a digitalised office and support platform established by the Geeks and Founders Alliance for Soludo (GEFAS), a coalition of tech-savvy young professionals, in Awka.
“This digital space is a demonstration of your love, energy, and belief in this government,” Soludo said. “It is sophisticated, inspiring, and will go a long way in reaching more citizens who can help shape the legacy of this administration.”
He commended the youth-led alliance for building the platform independently, without soliciting government funding, and urged them to safeguard it from hackers or political hijackers.
“There’s no doubt we will win the November 8 election. We are not just contesting — we are proving that there’s no vacancy in Government House,” the governor said. “With 5,720 polling units, our target is to win all.”
He added that the government is exploring ways to integrate the digital infrastructure into official governance to deepen civic engagement and communication with the people.
Fred Agbata, Convener of GEFAS, said the digital hub was more than a campaign tool — it symbolized the alliance’s faith in Soludo’s digital-first approach to governance.
“This space reflects what we believe is possible when innovation meets leadership. Governor Soludo is a champion of youth and tech, and this is our way of ensuring he continues,” Agbata said.
Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Politics, praised the initiative, calling it a benchmark for youth-driven political participation.
“This is more than a support group. It’s a movement. If re-elected, Governor Soludo will elevate digital governance to the next level,” he said.
The digital launch marks a strategic move in Soludo’s re-election campaign, positioning him as a forward-thinking leader with growing grassroots tech support.
