Ochor, Angozi, Emetulu, Ogbimi and Others Commends Ndokwa Reporters @12 ….Bel Dialogue annual discourse hailed as a visionary initiative for policy and public engagement

ASABA/Nigeria: Ndokwa Reporters, one of Delta State’s leading grassroots media platforms, will in August 2025 mark its 12th anniversary with a high-profile event that is already attracting commendations from leaders, institutions, and stakeholders across the state.

The celebration, scheduled for Thursday, August 21, 2025, will feature the unveiling of Bel Dialogue, an annual discourse platform designed to foster informed conversations, policy direction, and community participation in governance.

This year’s edition will focus on the theme: “Development or Displacement: Understanding the Cost of Unregulated Land Acquisition in Our Communities – The Role of Government and Traditional Institutions in Safeguarding Community Lands.”

Ahead of the event, prominent voices across Delta State have sent goodwill messages, extolling the role of Ndokwa Reporters in shaping discourse, deepening grassroots journalism, and promoting community development.

Hon. Charles Emetulu, Member representing Ndokwa West in the Delta State House of Assembly, described the 12th anniversary as proof of the platform’s “dedication to professionalism, balanced reportage, and unwavering service to Ndokwa, Delta State, and Nigeria.” He also hailed the unveiling of Bel Dialogue as “a stronger foundation for community participation in governance and development.”

Similarly, Mr. Olisa Ifeajika, Executive Assistant to the Governor on Public Enlightenment, Projects and Policies, said the anniversary is “a testament to truth, resilience, and service to society,” and described Bel Dialogue as “a visionary step that will deepen civic awareness and connect government, stakeholders, and the people.”

Chief Braduce Angozi, PhD, former Commissioner for Education and 2023 Governorship aspirant, praised the initiative as “an outstanding reflection of foresight and commitment to fostering constructive dialogue, informed public engagement, and policy shaping.”

Also commending the move, Rt. Hon. Ochor Christopher Ochor, Chairman of the Delta State Tourism Board, said the unveiling of Bel Dialogue “will not only stimulate informed conversations and policy direction but also project the image of Ndokwa land and Delta State in a positive light.”

For Dr. Patrick Ighomrore, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Development, the anniversary reflects Ndokwa Reporters’ “unwavering commitment to professionalism, truth, and innovation in journalism.”

From the financial sector, Hon. Jude Ogbimi, Chairman of Delta Mortgage Trust Bank, commended the management and staff of Ndokwa Reporters, describing Bel Dialogue as “an initiative worthy of commendation and support.”

Institutional recognition has also come from the Delta State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR). Its Chairman, Mr. Godfrey C. Osakwe, hailed the chosen theme as “a timely and thought-provoking discourse at a period when land-related issues require urgent attention to protect community heritage and ensure sustainable development.”

As anticipation builds, observers note that the forthcoming anniversary will not only celebrate twelve years of impactful journalism but also position Ndokwa Reporters as a catalyst for dialogue, advocacy, and sustainable development in Delta State and beyond.
