ASABA/Nigeria: The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has applauded the launch of the second edition of the 200 Most Outstanding Deltans compendium, describing it as a historic celebration of excellence and a source of inspiration for future generations.
Speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Nkem Nwaeke, at the public presentation of the compendium, Guwor said the initiative was not just a recognition of individual achievements but a powerful affirmation of Delta State’s rich pool of talent, leadership, and innovation.
“I strongly believe that today’s event marks not only a celebration of individual excellence but also a powerful affirmation of Delta State’s rich reservoir of talent, vision, leadership, and accomplishment,” the Speaker stated.
He commended the organizers for spotlighting 200 exceptional Deltans whose achievements, he said, would inspire others to pursue excellence through hard work, resilience, passion, and commitment. According to him, the compendium provides valuable role models for innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership.
“Delta State is blessed with immense potential, and it is heartening to see individuals harnessing their talents to drive progress. As we launch this compendium, I urge all Deltans to draw inspiration from these stories of excellence and continue to work together to build a brighter future for our state,” Guwor added.
The Speaker congratulated the awardees, noting that their achievements demonstrate that greatness is attainable when vision meets hard work and purpose. He further assured that the Delta State House of Assembly would continue to support initiatives that uplift the people, preserve history, and promote excellence in all spheres of life.

The 200 Most Outstanding Deltans compendium, now in its second edition, documents and celebrates the contributions of distinguished personalities across different sectors who have made significant impacts on the unity, growth, and development of Delta State.
