Delta Govt Urges Qualified Deltans to Apply for Nigerian Air Force DSSC Recruitment

ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Government has called on qualified indigenes of the state to seize the opportunity of the ongoing Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) recruitment exercise, which runs from August 27 to October 7, 2025.

The DSSC provides a pathway for Nigerian graduates and postgraduates, both male and female, to be commissioned as officers in various professional fields, including engineering, medicine, and cyber specialities. Successful applicants will undergo six to nine months of intensive military training before being commissioned as Flying Officers.

According to the announcement, applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth, between the ages of 20 and 32, and must possess a minimum of Second Class Upper Division or Upper Credit. Exceptions in age requirements exist for certain professionals. In addition, applicants are required to be single, medically and physically fit, and must present a discharge certificate from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

The State Government further emphasized that the recruitment process is entirely free and cautioned applicants against fraudsters demanding payment. Applications are to be submitted online at the NAF recruitment portal: www.nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng
