ABUJA/Nigeria: The National Chairman of the Tinubu Must Rule Again (TMRA) group, Dr. Marvel Omars, has reaffirmed the group’s commitment to mobilising massive grassroots support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Dr. Omars gave the assurance during a courtesy visit to the Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ede Dafinone, where he was also presented with the TMR Personality Achievements Award and formally decorated as a Patron of the group.
According to Omars, TMRA was established a few months ago as an APC grassroots mobilisation platform and has already spread its structures across the 36 states, the Federal Capital Territory, local governments, and wards. He revealed that the organisation has set a target of delivering at least 50 votes per polling unit, translating into about 9 million votes nationwide for the APC in 2027.
“TMRA is designed to galvanise and mobilise massive support for our principal, the President, and all APC candidates. We are poised to disabuse and disengage the criticisms of the opposition and ensure resounding victory in 2027,” Omars said.
He commended Senator Dafinone for his leadership qualities, describing him as a trusted and reliable representative of the Delta Central people. He also assured that TMRA would work closely with the senator and other APC leaders to consolidate grassroots support for the party ahead of the polls.
Responding, Senator Dafinone expressed gratitude to TMRA for the award and his nomination as a Patron, describing the recognition as an encouragement to deepen quality representation and democratic dividends for his constituents.
“This award is not just for me as an individual but for the good people of Delta Central whom I represent in the Senate. It is a call to continue serving with integrity, transparency, and dedication,” he said.
The senator praised TMRA for its nationwide mobilisation strategy, stressing that the ambitious target ahead of 2027 demonstrated commitment and seriousness in strengthening democracy and ensuring APC’s electoral success.
“The target you have set for 2027 is ambitious but achievable. With unity of purpose and effective mobilisation, TMRA will play a significant role in delivering victory for our President, our party, and democracy in Nigeria,” Dafinone added.
