ABUJA/Nigeria: Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Senator Ned Munir Nwoko, alongside other distinguished lawmakers, on Saturday attended the Passing Out Parade (POP) of cadets of the 72 Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna. The event formed part of activities marking the Academy’s 35th Convocation Ceremony.
The colourful parade, held at the Academy Parade Ground in Afaka, formally commissioned the cadets as officers of the Nigerian Armed Forces, signifying the culmination of years of rigorous academic and military training.
Earlier in the week, on Thursday, September 25, the NDA had conferred academic degrees on a total of 2,618 graduands, comprising 72 Regular Course cadet officers and 2,546 postgraduate students, during its convocation ceremony.
Saturday’s POP provided the final flourish to the convocation, with dignitaries, families, and well-wishers joining to celebrate the newly commissioned officers.
