ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, will on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, perform the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of the 11.725-kilometre Okpanam–Ugbolu Road.

The governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, announced this in a statement on Sunday in Asaba.

According to the statement, the event, scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at Ugbolu, represents another major milestone in the Oborevwori administration’s efforts to expand road infrastructure and strengthen connectivity within the Asaba capital territory.

The Okpanam–Ugbolu Road project is designed to open up new economic and residential corridors, ease traffic congestion, and boost socio-economic activities between the two rapidly growing communities.

Ahon urged residents of Okpanam, Ugbolu, and neighbouring areas to turn out in large numbers to witness the ceremony, describing the project as part of the governor’s commitment to delivering durable infrastructure across Delta State.
