EFFURUN/Nigeria: The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has expressed profound appreciation to Governor Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori for giving priority attention to the reconstruction of the Warri–Sapele–Benin Dual Carriageway, describing it as a landmark intervention in Delta’s infrastructure renewal efforts.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Nkem Nwaeke, following Tuesday’s groundbreaking ceremony, Rt. Hon. Guwor said the road project represents a critical lifeline that will enhance economic activities, improve security, and ease the movement of goods and people across the state.

He lamented the poor state of the road, which had become a nightmare for motorists over the years, and commended Governor Oborevwori for not only initiating its reconstruction but also deepening collaboration with the federal government to deliver sustainable infrastructure for Deltans.

Highlighting the ongoing construction of flyovers in Effurun and Warri, the Speaker said the Governor’s developmental strides reflect a clear commitment to modernizing the state’s infrastructure landscape and improving the quality of life for residents.

Rt. Hon. Guwor urged the contractors handling the reconstruction of the Warri–Sapele–Benin Dual Carriageway and other projects across the state to adhere strictly to global standards, deliver durable work, and meet project timelines.

The Speaker, who also serves as National Treasurer of the Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, assured that the Delta State House of Assembly will continue to provide strong legislative support and oversight to ensure the successful execution of all ongoing projects.

He reaffirmed the legislature’s resolve to partner with the executive arm in sustaining the tempo of development and urged Deltans to shun distractions while rallying behind the “Renewed Hope for More” agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
