
ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated the Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty, Obi Prof. Epiphany Azinge, SAN, OON, on his 70th birthday, praising the monarch’s distinguished contributions to peace, culture, and intellectual development in Delta State.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the Governor lauded the royal father for his steadfast commitment to unity and for championing the cultural renaissance of the Asaba Kingdom. He described the Asagba as an erudite scholar, an exemplary traditional ruler, and a symbol of honour whose life and leadership continue to inspire admiration across the state.
“On behalf of the Government and people of Delta State, I heartily congratulate Your Majesty, Obi Prof. Epiphany Azinge, SAN, OON, the Asagba of Asaba, on the glorious celebration of your platinum jubilee,” Oborevwori said. “Your reign, though still young, has reflected your deep-rooted values of peace, inclusiveness, and progressive leadership. As an accomplished academic and a custodian of culture, you have brought renewed prestige to the traditional institution and honour to our dear state.”
The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening traditional institutions, assuring the Asagba of continued partnership in advancing the aspirations of the Asaba people and promoting unity and development across the state.
Oborevwori prayed for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, and good health for the monarch, wishing him many more peaceful, prosperous, and impactful years on the throne.
