ABUJA/Nigeria: President Bola Tinubu during the past week, received Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State during a courtesy visit to the Presidential Villa, describing the meeting as a warm reunion with a “good friend of 22 years.”
Tinubu said he was delighted to host the governor, noting that their long-standing personal and professional relationship made the interaction particularly cordial. The President also used the occasion to once again congratulate Soludo on his sweeping victory in the recently concluded Anambra governorship election.
He recalled issuing a congratulatory statement shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Soludo winner with 73 per cent of the total votes cast, describing the result as a clear endorsement of the governor’s performance and leadership.
The visit marks Soludo’s first official engagement with President Tinubu since securing his re-election.
