
AGBOR/Nigeria: The long-standing infrastructure needs of Delta North received a major boost on Monday as Senator Prince Ned Nwoko commended Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for performing the groundbreaking ceremony of the Agbor flyover project, hailing it as a transformative investment in public safety, economic growth and urban mobility.
Speaking on behalf of the people of Delta North at the event in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area, Senator Nwoko described the Governor’s visit as both timely and symbolic, noting that it marked a significant milestone in the state government’s transformation agenda.
“This project is a major step forward for our district,” the Senator declared. “When completed, it will save lives, ease traffic congestion, improve the movement of people and goods, and boost economic activities across Delta North.”
He said the flyover was not merely an infrastructure project but a strategic investment in public safety, economic growth and urban efficiency, stressing that the long-awaited development would decongest major traffic corridors, reduce accident risks and create a more business-friendly environment for residents and investors alike.
According to him, the project underscored Governor Oborevwori’s commitment to infrastructural renewal and inclusive development, adding that the people of Delta North were already reassured by the administration’s focus on addressing their long-standing needs.
“I am hopeful that the Okpai Power Plant Step-Down Project and the completion of the Ogwashi-Uku Dam will also be delivered soon,” Senator Nwoko said. “Reliable power and water supply are fundamental to sustainable development and an improved quality of life for our people.”
He described the Governor’s presence at the ceremony as a clear signal that Delta North remains a priority in the state’s development blueprint and reaffirmed his readiness to continue working closely with the state government to advance the interests of the district.
